IAMAW retiree benefit and services programs are designed to fill Medicare's gaps, provide benefits that Medicare doesn't cover and replace healthcare coverage withdrawn or reduced by employers.

Medicare for 2009 - A quick Look
Medicare consists of Parts A, B, C and D.
- Parts A & B are traditional: Hospitalization and outpatient coverage
- Parts C & D are the new advantage Plans and Medicare's prescription drug coverage.
Medicare has gaps
- Part A deductible is $1068
- Part B deductible is $135
- In and out-patient cost sharing is 80/20%
Medicare has premiums
- Monthly Part B premium you pay is $96.40
